Personal training · Amsterdam Oost
Personal training built around your goals, your experience and the kind of movement you actually want to keep doing. I work with all kinds of people, with particular experience coaching gay men.
The approach
Good training has to work beyond the gym. We look at what you want to achieve, what you actually enjoy and what realistically fits into your week. From there, I build a clear, progressive plan around you.
Focused sessions with technique coaching, clear progression and room to adjust when life or your priorities change.
Bring people you like. You share the session, but the coaching and exercises still fit each person.
For people who like training independently but want a professional plan, direction and accountability behind it.
A gym space without the performance
You don’t have to arrive confident, fit or knowing the names of exercises. You can ask questions, have an off day and learn at your own pace.
I have particular experience coaching gay men and people who haven’t always felt at ease in traditional gym culture. That shapes how I coach; it doesn’t limit who I coach.
Client experiences
“Working with Ofri, I’ve felt safe and supported to explore weight training, push myself and do things I couldn’t have imagined a year ago. Oh and the playlist is always on point!”
“Thanks to Ofri, I've been able to keep up my gym routine and make significant progress toward my fitness goals in the last 6 months. I always look forward to our personal training sessions because Ofri motivates me, knows when to push and when to slow me down, and creates effective training programs for my goals while being mindful of my injuries.”
“You’ll be happy to know that the overhead presses are working—I could lift my 10 kg suitcase into the overhead bin of the aircraft dankzij jou!”

Meet your trainer
Before becoming a trainer, I spent ten years working in fashion. I understand caring about how you look, but I also know how quickly exercise can become another place where you feel watched, compared or never quite good enough.
After burning out, training became one of the ways I rebuilt structure, confidence and enjoyment in my own life. It eventually changed my career. Since 2022, I’ve coached complete beginners, experienced gym-goers and plenty of people somewhere in between, both one-to-one and in groups.
My coaching style is observant, direct and encouraging. I care about good technique and I’ll explain why we’re doing something, but training doesn’t need to take over your identity or your week. There is room for conversation, lightness and sessions that meet you where you are.

Before we meet
We’ll get to know each other, talk about your goals and experience, and do a workout of around 45 minutes. It’s a chance to see how we work together, with no obligation to book a package.
A towel, a water bottle and comfortable clothes you can move in.
If you’re recovering from an injury, you can train with me once your doctor or physiotherapist has cleared you for exercise. Let me know about any limitations or advice they’ve given you, so we can work within those guidelines.
No. We’ll start at your level, and I’ll explain the exercises as we go. You don’t need to prepare or get fit before your first session.
That depends on your goals, schedule and how much you want to train independently. We’ll work out a realistic rhythm together during your introduction.
